Aztec Sunstone Pendant

This handcrafted pendant features a glowing round sunstone cabochon, bezel set in blackened sterling silver to enhance the stone’s warm, fiery shimmer. The backplate is brought to life with rich texture created by flattening and stamping sterling wire before soldering it in place, then adding additional hand-stamped details directly into the silver.

The elongated pendant form—measuring approximately 1½" x ¾"—is shaped using a die and hydraulic press, giving the piece clean structure while maintaining its artisan character. Suspended from a 19" oxidized sterling-silver chain accented with faceted carnelian beads, the necklace blends warm tones and earthy metalwork into a cohesive, striking design.
